Oh Wow! There was a lot going on in this book! Hooked from the start, captured throughout and head over heels in love!
The story started right were book #1 left off and I was thrown into Jake’s mess. Having to face his past wasn’t the problem but how it came like a car crash into his orderly world was a disaster. Jake knew what he wanted but things were complicated especially because he only wanted the best for his daughter. With threats hanging over him, he didn’t really know what to do to get out of this mess and the thing he had with Honey started to crumble.
Technically, Honey’s job was to care for Ford, but we didn’t get a lot of that because there was so much else going on. There was a lot of potential for this book to be a full-length novel. Such a pity that it wasn’t, but I loved it nonetheless.
Ps.: I really wish there was a Book coming about Axel. =P
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars
