They wanted this.
To strip us of our humanity. Devolve us back to our most basic forms.
They used our love for each other as the trigger.
Now, they’ve succeeded. They’ve turned us into something else.
Into creatures willing to spill all their blood, end all their lives, in the hopes of finally being freed.
Even if we die in our attempt to escape, Noah and I are determined to take as many of them down with us as we can.
Before it’s all over, we will all bleed for their sins.
All of us.

I count the seconds in my head within the darkness. On sixty-four, the lights come back on.
All the calmness disappears in an instant.
“Noah?” Ivy gasps, standing less than fifteen feet from me, where the mirror was.
I’m so shocked by the sight of her, I can’t reply. My eyes trail over her, over how they’ve dressed her. In a mini-skirt version of a royal-blue, old-fashioned ball gown, the corset top displaying those fucking beautiful tits I love. The skirt only reaches mid-thigh, and of course, they paired the outfit off with black thigh-highs and sky-high heels in the same color as that gown.
On her head, a headpiece made out of royal-blue and black feathers.
Her eyes glow in the strategically-placed lighting, a mixture of hunger, intent, and urgency that confused my addled mind.
“Noah,” she whispers again, eyes trailing my face and the creature they drew upon it. Or is she seeing deep into the pit of me, where the evil has already sunk deep?
Holy shite, they’ve done her up like an exquisite, exotic sex doll. Played up every single asset she has all with the goal of tempting whoever lays eyes on her.
Me.
Every twisted bastard and bitch that wants to fuck her before they kill her.

Elena M. Reyes was born and raised in Miami Florida. She is the epitome of a Floridian and if she could live in her beloved flip-flops, she would.
As a small child, she was always intrigued with all forms of art—whether it was dancing to island rhythms, or painting with any medium she could get her hands on. Her first taste of writing came to her during her fifth grade year when her class was prompted to participate in the D. A. R. E. Program and write an essay on what they’d learned.
Her passion for reading over the years has amassed her with hours of pleasure. It wasn't until she stumbled upon fanfiction that her thirst to write overtook her world. She now resides in Central Florida with her husband and son, spending all her down time letting her creativity flow and letting her characters grow.

N. Isabelle Blanco is the Amazon Bestselling Author of the Allure Series, the Need Series with K.I. Lynn, and many others. At the age of three, due to an odd fascination with studying her mother’s handwriting, she began to read and write. By the time she’d reached kindergarten, she had an extensive vocabulary and her obsession with words began to bleed into every aspect of her life.
That is, until coffee came a long and took over everything else.
Nowadays, N. spends most of her days surviving the crazy New York rush and arguing with her characters every ten minutes or so, all in the hopes of one day getting them under control.

My Review:
'There's a voice in the back of my head wondering if this is it, if this is the end.'
I can't say that I'm disappointed in this book because it did have some kind of good enough ending, and I'm sure if you came this far you surely want to know how it ends. So, go for it, it's very short to be done with in no time at all and you will at least know what happens with Ivy and Noah.
Honestly, I just think that everything went down way too fast in a blurry mess and ended too sudden so that it left a lot to be desired. After everything that happened in this series and all the questions I had and still have, the ending was not satisfying enough for me and did not give me all the answers.
Yes, the sickness and violence from the previous books continues in this one and my nerves were on edge but there was not as much tension as before and there was no relief for me in the end. I'm just not one of those people who likes open endings. I need closure, answers and a satisfying ending no matter if good or bad.
'We're facing a different breed of creature – the worst society has to offer.'
