My review:
The suspenseful story continues! I loved it!
This second book is entirely from Drew’s POV and I actually liked this even better than the first from Lindsay’s.
The Story:
Four years ago not only Lindsay's life was changed by three men but also Drew’s. Lindsay is enraged but so is Drew. Those three men have still not received their deserved punishment and now Lindsay’s receiving threats and text messages by them. Drew is on high alert but his feelings for her have a negative effect on his work and his emotions are getting harder to ignore with each day.
Thoughts:
The story picked up where the first book ended though was now from Drew’s perspective. It’s equally suspenseful as the first book if not more because Drew’s alertness made me really tense.
I loved the book for its suspense but the romance part or rather the rushed intimacy was something that bothered me already in the first book as well as in this one. I had to push through the middle part because it felt rather slow to read but after that I was captured again by Drew and his struggles.
The book was well written and Drew really grew on me though Lindsay was still annoying sometimes because I never knew what she was thinking and she had constant mood swings.
OMG the huge cliffhanger at the end was killing me! I can't believe that the author ended this book at such a suspenseful part! It was killing me to read the last few pages! I want the next book now! I need to know who's all involved in that scheme. Give those Bastards what they deserve!
This series is actually one of my first political thriller read's and I really like it a lot so far even with the constant hate towards Lindsay’s family.
If you’re looking for a suspenseful book that keeps you on the edge until the very end - or at least until the end of each book so far - than this will be a good story for you.
